Raku Taster Session – 14th April 2023

Our latest Raku taster session, saw a lovely group who already do pottery with their pottery teacher Jane. Three cars arrived with rather excited ladies who had been preparing for a while and bought along some of their own hand built Raku products, including a miner, some lovely Welsh ladies, a seal, whales and some other little pots.  After the obligatory safety talk and a little history about Raku, the glazes came out and everyone went to work under the guidance of Karen and Adrian to glaze the two pots from RakuMania and their own items.

After lunch we fired up the kiln and did about 4 firings with some fabulous results. Everyone was well chuffed with the final products and went home very happy.
